The Countryman’s Inn is a traditional country pub with hotel accommodation in the village of Hunton, North Yorkshire. The inn offers a warm welcome, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and is an integral part of the village community of Hunton. With good beer and great food you can relax in the bar with its beamed ceilings and seasonal log fire. We have a selection of up to 5 cask-conditioned real ales, 3 brewed within 10 miles of the pub!
Our AA award-winning restaurant has a deserved reputation for its range of freshly prepared meals to suit all occasions, including Vegetarian and Children’s Menus using locally sourced produce wherever possible. All menus and pricing are subject to change to reflect availability.

The comfortable en-suite accommodation comprises 4 bedrooms with television and tea and coffee making facilities. The rooms are a relaxing and comfortable base from which to enjoy this unique area and its many attractions. There are many local attractions sporting, cultural, historical or rural, to appeal to all tastes within easy travelling distance.
Our Rooms
We offer 4 bedrooms offering a wide variety of en-suite rooms offering flexible/quality accommodation ranging from single occupancy, double, triple and family accommodation sleeping up to 5 people.
We also have a specific "Pet Friendly" room for guests who want to bring well behaved cats or dogs. All of the first floor rooms are bright and airy and tastefully decorated.

The Bar

We have now combined the most popular dishes from our renowned Value Menus with our more extensive a la carte menu to provide our full range of dishes for both lunch and in the evening.

We offer a full Sunday Lunch menu with a choice of roasts, fish and vegetarian dishes.
HORSE RACING
The area is famous as a centre of Northern horse racing and the major training centres of Middleham & Leyburn are both close by. Horse Racing can be watched at Catterick Bridge in both winter and summer, Thirsk, Ripon and York offer top class flat racing in the summer and Wetherby, a leading National Hunt track in the north, is easily accessed via the A1. Slightly further a field are both Newcastle and Sedgefield racecourses.
