Welcome to the Cotswold Bakehouse
The Bakehouse is a hidden gem within the village of Lower Quinton, 4 miles south of Stratford-upon-Avon, offering luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation or self-catering.
Behind a quintessentially English village green, with a duck pond, church, pub (rather a good one) and a white house attached, is a bakehouse for two. Red-bricked and mellow on the outside, it's a lavishly romantic bolthole within. You get an en suite bedroom upstairs under the rafters, a mezzanine bedroom over the sitting room below, and a charming dining room and kitchen.
Beautifully decorated with antique furnishings and 19th Century paintings, it comprises of a large double bedroom and en-suite bathroom/shower room and a separate mezzanine with single bed. An exceptional sitting room with wood burning fire leads into an open planned, spacious kitchen/dining room which is fully equipped with modern appliances.
The master bedroom is spacious and light, with immaculate carpeting, generous armchairs and a view onto the neighbouring farmyard and the owners' lovely gardens below (it is they who live in the house on the green).
Shoshana is warm and generous and delighted to deliver helpful advice; she also leaves a continental breakfast in your super-equipped kitchen.
