Kay & Brian Smith Welcome you to their home.... Our house is a traditional English Farmhouse Cottage built around 1770, located in the small village of Rolleston and standing next to Rolleston Holy Trinity Church.
Situated in the heart of the English Midlands, we are surrounded by beautiful countryside and a stones throw from the river Trent. With easy links to surrounding towns and cities such as Southwell, an old Market Town centred around its 11th century Minster - a hidden jewel in English heritage, Newark, a historic Capital Town with a 12th century Castle, market and antique trade fairs, both Towns associated with the Royalist movement in the English Civil War. To the south lies Nottingham City with great shopping, restaurants and night life mixed in with its many historical places of interest including the castle where Robin Hood battled the Sheriff.
We are just 500 metres from Southwell's Racecourse and Golf Club.
If you're looking for something to eat, we're just a 100m sprint to the village pub and within 2-3 miles our surrounding villages host a selection of wonderful pubs and restaurants.
Our Guest Accommodations
The Family Room: Our largest room overlooks the village church. With an English King size bed, sofa bed and additional fold out beds available for children/teenagers. The room will happily accommodate a family of 4. The en-suite features a shower, wash basin and toilet, with warm fluffy towels and bath robes provided and a collection of soaps, gels and creams for your perfect shower.
The Twin Room : Our twin room also overlooks the village church. The room is also large enough to accommodate a family of 4, with 2 single beds and the use of 2 fold out beds for children/teenagers. The room also features a wash basin, and then a private bathroom with shower over bath.
With all our guest rooms, we provide warm fluffy towels, bath robes and a collection of soaps, gels and creams for your perfect bath/shower to start or end your perfect day.
The Barn Conversion : Our third room is a barn conversion, found in the garden just a few metres from the house. A comfy double bed, sitting area, flat screen TV, and en-suite shower room offering all the facilities of our other guest rooms with warm fluffy towels, bath robes and a collection of soaps, gels and creams for your perfect shower to start or end your perfect day.
All our guest rooms feature Tea & Coffee making facilities, Television, Towelling robes, hair dryer, a small drinks refrigerator, wine glasses and Free WiFi access.
At the rear of the house is our conservatory for you to relax or join our other guests for conversation and drinks. Air conditioned for those warm summer times and heated for those cold winter nights, we'll keep you just right!
Join us between 7.30am & 9.30am in our traditional dining room for a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day. If you don't fancy the traditional grilled English breakfast, we have a wide choice of cereals, fresh fruit & yoghurt. Our eggs coming from the chickens that roam the garden.
