We are particularly keen always to use only the very best ingredients, whether it's for a candlelit dinner, a full English breakfast, a delicious snack by the swimming pool or a Wiltshire afternoon tea. Many of our vegetables and salads are home grown, and other produce, including meat and poultry, is sourced from nearby farms in Wiltshire and Somerset with strict animal welfare policies. Wincanton Races

The races take place between October and May. Children aged 16 and under can go to the races free of charge and this is a family hotel, so you can make it a family raceday! There are 17 fixtures of quality jump racing between October and May, an average of about two meetings per month. Each event is a thrilling experience, whether or not you are seasoned racegoers. Eight of the race days are on a weekend or a bank holiday, providing you with a great excuse for a weekend away or a great day out. The Saturday meetings provide some of the best racing of the National Hunt season featuring some of the top horses in the country. There are family days on Sundays and bank holidays so all the family can join in the fun. Not only do children aged 16 and under get in free but there’s free children's entertainment as well, including a crèche for 3-8 year olds and 'Jolly Jumpers' amusements on Sunday meetings.
